Dance Star Productions is under the direction of Jillian Blakemore.  Jillian is a graduate of the Unversity of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance Pedagogy.  Jillian also received ballet training at the University of Oklahoma, and is a graduate of the Bill Evans Institute of Dance.  Jillian's formal dance education was supplemented by training under Jamie Jacobson;  Amy Reynolds-Reed;  Anne Blasedell;  Tina Camber;  Denise Vale;  Blake Beardsley;  Koe;  Frank Chaves, artistic director of Chicago's Hubbard Street Dance Company;  Holly Williams;  Carolyn Glasco;  Kitty Daniels;  Don Halquist;  and Debra Knapp.

With 27 years of continuous dance training in all curriculums, her focus on ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop and tap have developed into an influential teaching curriculum and unique style of choreography.

Jillian has choreographed the University of Oklahoma's Sooner Scandals opening act, and the University of Central Oklahoma Senior Showcase.  Jillian has been the director of Dance Star Productions since August of 1999.  She has taught for Kim Massey Dance Productions, Dance Unlimited and Dance With Me.  Jillian has also coached and choreographed for several pom squads, including the Cushing High School Dance Team.
